Prosper Plan
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:10-14 (NIV)
10 This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place.
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
His Timing, Not Ours
Today’s reading is a reminder that God’s plans are always intentional.
He fits every event, every season, every delay into His perfect timing. He works on His schedule — not ours. As the Israelites walked through seventy years of exile, it must have felt unbearable. They must have wanted it to end long before it did.
But God moves on a higher timeframe than us.
He promised that His plan for those who trust Him and endure is good. And the same is true for us. There will be seasons where God tests us and asks us to wait. That waiting is not abandonment. As long as we keep our faith and continue walking with Him, we will step into everything He has prepared — plans to prosper us, to give us hope and a future.
Seek Him With All Your Heart
When we call on the Lord and pray, He listens.
God actively invites us to open that line of communication with Him. If we want to experience His guidance and restoration, we need to build that relationship — to connect with Him deeply and consistently. Not just in the hard moments, but in the ordinary ones too.
He also promises that if we seek Him with all our hearts, we will find Him. That word all matters. It’s not a passive search. It’s genuine devotion — a sincerity that says, I really want to live for You.
The greatest gift any of us can have is to feel the warmth of God’s presence as we walk through this life. And that gift begins with seeking.
What He Truly Desires
Here’s something worth sitting with: God wants our obedience, yes — but that is not what He truly desires most.
What He desires is a relationship of love with us. Because when that love is real, obedience naturally follows. And in that relationship, we find restoration. We were all born into sin, but God promises to bring us back from captivity — out of sin and death and into salvation and redemption.
That is the heart of the gospel.
He Always Delivers on His Promises
Hope is rooted in His promise that after the tough times, He will bring us back into His love.
There will be moments when God feels far away and the gap between us feels impossible to cross. But He promises He will always come back for us — to deliver us from whatever is causing us pain. Our God delivers on His promises. Every time.
So as you walk through whatever this season holds, cling to that hope. His plans extend far beyond what you can currently see. The present might look uncertain, but God is not uncertain about you.
Walk On
Walk on in faith. You are covered in His love. 🤍
